A Clothing Manufacturer That Grows With Your Order Book

Most emerging labels do not fail on design — they fail on production logistics. We structure every account so that a first 50-piece capsule and a 10,000-piece repeat order follow the same documented workflow: one merchandiser, one spec file, one approved sample reference.

  • Dedicated merchandiser who owns your timeline from sample to dispatch
  • Digital spec archive so re-orders match the original garment, season after season
  • Fabric libraries with GSM, composition, stretch and shrinkage data recorded
  • Capacity planning that reserves machine hours ahead of your launch date

How We Work

Our Production Workflow

Six Documented Stages From Concept to Carton

Each stage closes with a written approval, so nothing moves forward on assumption. This is the same process our merchandisers run for a first-time founder and for brands reordering 20,000 units per season.

Stage 01

Design & Tech Pack

Sketches, reference garments or CADs are converted into a production tech pack with BOM, measurement chart, stitch details and trim placement.

Stage 02

Fabric & Trim Sourcing

Fabric swatches, lab dips and trim cards are sent for approval with GSM, composition, hand-feel and shrinkage results attached.

Stage 03

Pattern & Proto Sample

First patterns are cut and a proto sample is produced in 7–12 working days for fit comments, then revised into a pre-production sample.

Stage 04

Bulk Cutting & Sewing

Approved patterns are graded and marker-planned; sewing lines run with in-line inspections at critical seams and measurement points.

Stage 05

Decoration & Branding

Screen, DTF, sublimation or embroidery is applied with pull, crock and wash tests, followed by label and hang-tag attachment.

Stage 06

QC, Packing & Dispatch

Final AQL inspection, measurement audit, polybagging and cartonisation with size-ratio labels, then air or sea freight with documents.

Four Inspection Gates Protect Your Brand Standard

Incoming fabric and trim inspection, in-line stitching checks, a measurement audit against the approved spec sheet, and a final AQL 2.5 inspection before packing. Defect reports are shared with photographs, not just pass/fail summaries.

Written Updates at Every Production Milestone

You receive a production schedule at order confirmation, then milestone updates for fabric in-house, cutting, sewing progress, decoration and inspection — with photo evidence so you can plan launches and paid media with confidence.

Designers preparing artwork for screen printing and sublimation
Decoration & Finishing

The Right Print Method for the Right Fabric

Print failures usually come from method-to-fabric mismatch, not from the artwork. Our decoration team selects the process based on fibre content, stretch and hand-feel targets, then runs adhesion and wash tests on your approved fabric before bulk decoration begins.

  • Screen printing — best cost-per-unit for bold, repeat-colour graphics at volume
  • Sublimation — full-coverage, all-over prints on polyester performance fabrics
  • Embroidery — durable, premium branding for fleece, caps, polos and outerwear
  • Custom packaging — branded polybags, boxes, tissue and barcode labelling
Why Brands Choose Tack Apparel

Experience Earned on the Factory Floor

Tack Apparel was built by apparel engineers, pattern makers and merchandisers who have shipped for retail chains, sports clubs, corporate uniform programmes and DTC labels. That background shapes how we quote, sample and inspect: we plan for wash performance, size-curve accuracy and re-order consistency, because those are the issues that cost brands money after delivery.

Choosing a custom clothing manufacturer affects three things directly — your margin, your delivery promises and your return rate. We reduce risk on all three by documenting specifications, archiving approved samples and keeping a single point of accountability for your account.

Technical Support Before and After Delivery

Our team advises on fabric substitution when a mill lot is delayed, on grading rules for extended size ranges, and on construction changes that reduce cost without visibly changing the garment. After shipment, the same merchandiser handles quality queries, replacement units where a defect is confirmed, and re-order planning against your original spec file.

Deadlines Managed as Engineering, Not Optimism

Delivery dates are calculated backwards from your launch: fabric in-house date, cutting date, sewing days based on SAM and line capacity, decoration window and inspection buffer. Because the schedule is built on machine hours rather than estimates, you know early if a fabric delay threatens your date — while there is still time to act.

Ethical, Responsible Manufacturing

Production runs in facilities operating under fair-labour practices, documented working hours, age verification and audited workplace safety standards. On request we support OEKO-TEX certified fabrics, recycled polyester, organic cotton and BCI cotton options, with mill documentation supplied for your own compliance and marketing claims.

Buyer Questions

Custom Clothing Manufacturing FAQs

Straight answers to the questions overseas buyers ask us most often before onboarding a new apparel supplier.

Our standard minimum order quantity is 50 pieces per design, which can be split across sizes and up to two colourways. Denim and uniform programmes start at 100 pieces due to wash and fabric lot requirements, while leather items start at 30 pieces.

A first proto sample is typically ready in 7–12 working days after tech pack approval. Bulk production runs 15–30 working days depending on category, quantity, fabric availability and decoration method. Pre-booking fabric shortens this materially for repeat programmes.

Yes. Our design team converts sketches, reference garments or mood boards into a production-ready tech pack including measurement charts, stitch call-outs, trims, label placement and size grading. You keep the file and can use it with any factory.

All orders can include woven or printed neck labels, care and content labels, hang tags, size stickers, custom polybags and branded boxes. Garments can be shipped barcode-labelled and retail-ready or prepared to third-party fulfilment requirements.

Four inspection gates apply: fabric and trim inspection on arrival, in-line checks during stitching, a measurement audit against the approved spec sheet, and a final AQL-based inspection before packing. Reports include measurement data and photographs.

We ship worldwide, with most volume moving to the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, the EU, Australia and the Middle East. Air express, air freight and sea freight are available, and DDP delivery can be arranged so duties and clearance are handled for you.
