Specialized Techniques

Industrial Screen Printing Methods

Choosing the correct ink formulation and printing technique is essential for achieving the targeted hand-feel, stretch recovery, and wash longevity for your specific fabric composition.

Silkscreen Printing on Garment Panels Standard & High-Density

Silkscreen & Plastisol Printing

Our traditional silkscreen methods utilize high-opacity plastisol inks engineered for vibrant color payoff on dark fabrics, sharp vector edge definition, and extreme durability against commercial laundry wear.

Water-Based Screen Printing on Cotton T-Shirts Soft Hand-Feel

Water-Based Screen Printing

Ideal for luxury, organic, and lightweight cotton garments. Water-based inks absorb directly into the fabric fibers, delivering a zero-feel, highly breathable print finish that softens further after washing.

Discharge Screen Printing on Dark Fabrics Dark Fabric Specialist

Discharge Screen Printing

Discharge printing chemically replaces the natural dye of dark 100% cotton garments with target pigment colors. This removes ink thickness completely while keeping prints vibrant and soft.

Engineering Precision

Cut-Panel Printing Eliminates Seam & Placement Limitations

Standard print shops rely on pre-sewn blanks, which restrict artwork placement away from seams, zippers, and collars. At Tack Apparel, as a full-service cut-and-sew manufacturer, we execute screen printing on flat pattern panels before stitching begins.

  • Full-bleed sleeve & seam printing without ink buildup or distortion at stitch lines.
  • All-over panel alignment engineered with digitized marker templates prior to cutting.
  • Pantone PMS exact matching using spectrophotometer verification for brand consistency.
  • Zero seam registration gaps across oversized graphic artwork.

Quality & Compliance

Quality Assurance Built Upon Factory Floor Expertise

Improper screen curing leads to cracking, color fading, and premature ink peeling—flaws that damage retail brand reputation. At Tack Apparel, our print engineers manage ink viscosity, mesh count selection, squeegee pressure, and tunnel dryer temperature under controlled ISO standards.

Every screen printed batch undergoes strict crocking tests (wet and dry rub resistance), elongation stretch tests for elastic fabrics, and automated flash-cure thermal monitoring.

Eco-Friendly & Non-Toxic Inks

We strictly utilize OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 compliant, phthalate-free, and PVC-free ink formulations upon request. Our water-based systems adhere to international environmental compliance standards required for US and EU retail distribution.

Streamlined Production

B2B Workflow from Vector Artwork to Bulk Delivery

  • Digital Proofing & Separations: High-resolution film positive generation with precise halftone frequency matching.
  • Pre-Production Strike-Offs: Physical print sample delivered on your production fabric for ink hand-feel and color approval.
  • Industrial Automatic Presses: Automated 10-color and 12-color carousels ensuring identical screen registration across bulk runs.
  • Tunnel Curing & Wash Audits: Forced-air conveyor curing followed by AQL 2.5 final inspection before polybagging.

Buyer Knowledge Base

Frequently Asked Questions

Essential details for apparel buyers regarding file preparations, ink performance, and production timelines.

Our minimum order quantity (MOQ) is 50 pieces per artwork design, which can be distributed across different garment sizes. Lower MOQs allow emerging clothing lines to validate designs with minimal inventory exposure.

We recommend vector artwork files in Adobe Illustrator (.AI), Encapsulated PostScript (.EPS), or high-resolution PDF format with all fonts converted to outlines. Raster files (.PNG / .PSD) should be 300 DPI at actual print size.

Plastisol sits on top of fabric fibers, creating vibrant opacity on all materials. Water-based and discharge inks absorb into or replace cotton dyes, creating a soft hand-feel with high breathability, ideal for vintage or premium fashion brands.

Yes. Because we offer panel-cut printing prior to garment assembly, we print seamless designs across raw fabric panels, sleeves, and pockets without encountering registration flaws or ink pooling at seam boundaries.

Physical pre-production print samples are completed within 7 to 10 working days. Upon sample approval, bulk screen printing and garment manufacturing takes 15 to 25 working days depending on quantity and finishing requirements.
